NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS
Serving Orange County Many older adults and/or those with disabilities are able to live alone independently. Unfortunately, others may be isolated or separated from their families and are in need of some caring assistance. A small bit of help can make a huge difference. For many, it gives them the ability to live and remain in the comfort of their own homes. The Friendly Visitor Program is committed to supporting Orange County residents in need by matching as many as possible with local volunteers.
For neighbors in need, the following are examples of services that may be provided: Transportation to local appointments Help with grocery shopping Home visits Chatting on the phone Clerical assistance
Volunteers: Have an impact on the life of their neighbors Donate approximately two hours per week at a time that works for you Will be thoroughly trained Receive a background check at no charge Will be insured while volunteering
