NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS

Serving Orange County
Many older adults and/or those with disabilities are able to live alone independently. Unfortunately, others may be isolated or separated from their families and are in need of some caring assistance. A small bit of help can make a huge difference. For many, it gives them the ability to live and remain in the comfort of their own homes. The Friendly Visitor Program is committed to supporting Orange County residents in need by matching as many as possible with local volunteers.

For neighbors in need, the following are examples of services that may be provided:
Transportation to local appointments
Help with grocery shopping
Home visits
Chatting on the phone
Clerical assistance

Volunteers:
Have an impact on the life of their neighbors
Donate approximately two hours per week at a time that works for you
Will be thoroughly trained
Receive a background check at no charge
Will be insured while volunteering

For assistance or to volunteer, please leave a message at (845) 341-1173. Calls will be returned.

There is no charge for this service.
