With the hot weather expected today and tomorrow, the Town of Crawford is making our courtroom at Town Hall available as a cooling center for anyone who needs relief from the heat.
Residents are welcome to stop in from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., to cool off in a safe, air-conditioned space.

Town of Crawford Supervisor Mike Menendez is pleased to announce the 2026 budget will once again be under the New York State Tax Cap. We have been under the Tax Cap every year since it was enacted. Despite increased costs for insurance, retirement benefits and essential services, the Town Board was able to maintain a small increase in taxes of 1.55% for general services (A) and highway (DA), and just a 0.59% increase in the overall rate including all budget lines and special districts. This amounts to about a $24.00 annual increase for a home with a market value of over $447,000. The Town remains one of the most financially stable Towns in Orange County, as we look to continue numerous town improvement projects in 2026.
