STATE OF EMERGENCY ORDER NO. 1
WHEREAS on March 13, 2020, I declared and proclaimed a disaster emergency in the Town of Crawford and ordered the temporary suspension of certain policies, rules and laws; and
WHEREAS, said State of Emergency was extended on May 15, 2020; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to temporarily suspend and modify parts of certain additional local laws, ordinances, order rules and regulations to assist and aid in coping with the health disaster.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Charles E. Carnes, Supervisor of the Town of Crawford, by virtue of the authority vested in me by Section 24(g) of Article 2-B of the Executive Law to temporarily suspend or modify any local law, ordinance, order, rule or regulation or parts thereof during a disaster emergency, if compliance with such local law, ordinance, order, rule, or regulation would prevent, hinder or delay action necessary to cope with the disaster emergency, or if necessary to assist or aid in coping with such disaster, I hereby order the following additional suspension:
Those parts of the Town of Crawford’s Zoning Code, laws, rules and regulations and planning approval requirements which pertain to outdoor dining and drinking conducted on or adjacent to the premises of existing restaurants, eating and drinking places, fast food establishments, delicatessens and similar establishments with the approved indoor seating, subject to the provider complying with all the New York State safety and other regulatory requirements issued under the Governor’s applicable Executive Order and provided that the dining and drinking areas are not set up in fire lanes or other areas where they would significantly impede emergency responses or the flow of traffic in the judgement of the Town’s Code Compliance Department.
Said suspensions shall run from the date the Town of Crawford, along with other municipalities in the region, enters the Phase 2 reopening pursuant to the Governor’s Executive Order(s) and run through the date of termination of the Town’s state of emergency, subject to extension by further order.
