  NOTICE AND HEARING

      BE IT RESOLVED that an introductory Local Law, entitled “Farm-Related Zoning Amendments” be and it hereby is introduced by Supervisor Charles Carnes before the Town Board of the Town of Crawford in the County of Orange and State of New York, and 
      BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of the aforesaid proposed local law be laid upon the desk of each member of the Board, and 
      BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board hold a public hearing on said proposed local law at the Town Hall, 121 Route 302, Pine Bush 12566, at 7:20 PM on January 16, 2020, and
      BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk publish or cause to be published a public notice in the official newspaper of the Town of Crawford of said public hearing at least ten (10) days prior thereto. 
      On a motion by Councilman Daniel Flanick seconded by Councilman Rory Holmes the resolution was adopted on a vote of 5 Ayes, 0 Nays.  
      The Supervisor declared this resolution adopted.

              PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that there has been introduced before the Town Board of the Town of Crawford, New York, on June 15, 2023, a local law titled, “Extension Of Term Of Office From Two Years To Four Years For The Offices Of Town Supervisor, Town Clerk, Town Highway Superintendent And Town Receiver of Taxes Of The Town Of Crawford,” which local law would extend the term of office from two years to four years for the offices of Town Supervisor, Town Clerk, Town Highway Superintendent and Town Receiver of Taxes commencing with the term of office beginning January 1, 2024, subject to approval at a mandatory referendum to be held on November 7, 2023. A complete copy of the Introductory Local Law is available for inspection at the Town Clerk's Office. 

  NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to Section 20 of the Municipal Home Rule Law, the Town Board of the Town of Crawford, New York, will hold a public hearing on the aforesaid Local Law at the Town of Crawford Town Hall, 121 Route 302, Pine Bush, New York, on July 20, 2023, at 7:00 P.M., at which time all persons interested therein shall be heard.

  PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that there has been introduced before the Town Board of the Town of Crawford, New York, on October 26, 2023, a local law, titled “Rezoning Land In Bullville To The BP (Business Park) Zoning District And Adding Restaurants And Hotels As Special Permit Uses In The O-R (Office-Residence) Zoning District,” which local law would change the zoning district designation of the lots identified as Tax Map Nos. 26-8-1, 26-8-2, 26-9-1 and 26-9-2 from the O-R (Office-Residence) zoning district to the BP (Business Park) zoning district, and would add ‘hotels’ and ‘restaurants’ as special permit uses in the O-R (Office-Residence) zoning district.

              PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that there has been introduced before the Town Board of the Town of Crawford, New York, on November 18, 2021, a local law entitled, “Amendment of Grievance Day,” which local law would establish the fourth Tuesday in May as the Town’s tax grievance day, reverting back to the standard tax grievance date established pursuant to NYS Real Property Tax Law § 512. A complete copy of the Introductory Local Law is available for inspection at the Clerk's Office and on the Town website.

  PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

              PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Crawford will hold a special meeting for the purpose of  holding a public hearing on September 29^th, 2021 at 6:00 PM, in person at the Crawford Senior and Community Center, 115 State Route 302, Pine Bush, New York to consider and hear public comment on a proposed increase and improvement of the facilities of the Pine Bush Water District and to take action on said proposed increase and improvement of said facilities, and on any other business that may come before the board.  In addition, the public may attend this meeting via remote ZOOM videoconference, as described further below. 

  PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the proposed improvements include the purchase of property for the protection of two newly drilled water production wells and construction of a well house approximately 1,600 LF north of NYS Route 52 on Dubois Street (Tax Parcel: Section 2, Block 1, Lot 79.2), along with installation of a water main to connect to the Water District’s existing water system in the hamlet of Pine Bush. The proposed 20 feet x 30 feet treatment building would provide chlorination of the groundwater source and provision for future sequestration, if needed. Treated groundwater would be pumped to the Water District’s existing water system via approximately 6,100 feet of 8-inch diameter HDPE transmission main installed along NYS Route 52 and connected to the existing water system on State Route 52 across from Boniface Drive. 

  The estimated maximum cost of the proposed project is $4,762,100.  The County has previously secured a Local Government Efficiency Grant (in 2012 and 2015) in the amount of $920,200 for drilling and design work for the subsequently proposed wells on County land. The proposed wells on County land will be replaced by the newly drilled wells on the Dubois property. The Town has secured a WIIA grant from the State Environmental Facilities Corporation in the amount of $2,311,680, and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Financial Assistance in the amount of $1,001,100 for the proposed well house and connection to the Dubois wells. Municipal contributions will be in the estimated amount of $540,000 grant match.  A map and plan of the proposed improvements is on file in the Town Clerk’s office.  All persons interested will be heard by the Town Board at the public hearing.

  PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that persons who attend the meeting via Zoom will be able to see and hear the meeting, but will not be able to make or submit oral or written comments during the meeting.               PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Crawford will hold a public hearing on December 26, 2019, at 7:30 PM at the Town Hall, 121 State Route 302, Pine Bush, New York 12566, for the purpose of hearing public comment on the proposed grant of an easement on a portion of real property owned by the Pine Bush Water District.  This portion of the property, which is not required for purposes of the Water District, is located off Black Hawk Road near the intersection of State Route 302 and is identified as a portion of Tax Map No. 8-2-62 (the “site”).  The Town Board proposes to grant an easement to a subsidiary of the corporation that currently leases the site from the Town, which easement would authorize the subsidiary to operate, improve, repair and maintain the wireless telecommunications tower and related facilities currently existing at the site.  The easement would grant an exclusive easement area consisting of 0.112 acres of land, and an access and utility easement area consisting of 0.156 acres of land.  The Town Board proposes to extinguish the Town’s existing lease of the site and to grant the easements, in perpetuity, in exchange for a payment to the Water District in the amount of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) per month for a period of ninety-eight (98) consecutive months.  All public comments will be considered and heard by the Town Board.

              This public hearing had been originally scheduled for December 19, and is now rescheduled for December 26, 2019 at 7:30 PM.
